...not gonna drink ...no matter how much terrible things get posted

I posted only a summary of this blog the other day and decided to add it to my website with a bit of elaboration.

This was my mantra the other day:

I'm not gonna drink

I'm not gonna drink

Dang right! There is nothing in the house to drink

I'm not going out

I'm not going out

Uh, Yeah. It's too dang cold!

I won't go to store for alcohol

I won't go to store for alcohol

No, I won't. I am too dang lazy.

Problem solved.

I read something on social media about funds being taken away from social service fields that would help students to complete their college degrees because they do not consider them to be professional careers. This included nurses. I seriously do my best to avoid all the political drama and nonsense; and my feed is absolutely limited; but I will say those who post about some of these atrocities and changes being made in our country, at least provides me some insight enough to then go determine it's validity and how truthful it is. It just boils my blood. The entire article causes me to say - 'What the?!' and 'who are we that we cannot spare funds for these areas of important of work?' and the 'Why?!'

**

I am a huge advocate for the oppressed and many of professions who help the oppressed ... someone said it notably: 'they were 'essential' workers a few years ago and now this'.

Does it make me want to drink? Some. But it is not worth it to me anymore.

Does it frustrate me? Yeah. It hurts. It is painful to know how we are treating people who genuinely have a heart for others and for those who need someone to take care of them. And not to mention, barely get paid in these fields of work.

It has been said numerous times by many students and workers - if you go into social work, it's not for the money, but because you care and want to make a difference in peoples lives.

That is all I got.

Dear Jesus,

Please make this all turn around. And let there be the voices who can withstand the ridicule if they stand up to bullies.

In Jesus Name,

Amen

P.S. And by the way, I don't want the $2k. that is supposedly being sent to us, I want affordable health insurance for my daughters! ...but hey, you gonna hand me 2k and i'll use it to pay off something so I can afford the insurance premium these days ...

Sad, but not surprised.

Frustrated but not distraught.

Depleted, but will continue to press on.

Concerned, but know God is my Savior and ... He already knows the outcome. Even that of my life and how best to handle things. And personally? It is not tipping the bottle ... or can in this case.

Okay that is it for now, for real.

I have more on my mind, but will write another post.

Love you all and praying persistently for us.

Please remember, ask Jesus to come into your heart, taking Him as your Savior and to save you. This does not mean you immediately change who you are. He doesn't want that. He just wants us and then He will guide us to the best of us we can be.

Because with Him, it is possible; He cannot take away all the terrible things, but He sure will walk along side you and make it more manageable.
